Residencies @ Orange

Breathe mountain air while studying and honing your craft in fiber arts, poetry, fine art, paper making, music composition, plein air painting, knitting. An arts initiative of Yin Hoo Foundation for the Arts, Residencies @ Orange offers master guided small group residencies in diverse disciplines alongside self guided solo and group retreats.

Experience a quiet productive repose in our spacious and updated historic 1920s building set in a bucolic village bordering the 70k acre Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail, Historic Deer Head Inn jazz and dinner club. Close by you’ll find antiquing, ice cream, outdoor concerts, hiking, wood fired pizza, canoeing, pubs, breweries, wineries, art galleries, and houses of worship. The Residencies @ Orange is a true departure from the chaos and tension of life.

GUIDED RESIDENCIES

Each Master Guided Residency is awarded by jury to only four talented artists for each residency discipline. Thus, participants receive the highest possible guidance. Most residencies, when appropriate, culminate in a public presentation on stage at Orange, our cafe. Apply at the link below early for your best chance at a stay at Yin Hoo to hone your skills.

PRIVATE SELF-GUIDED RESIDENCIES

Private self-guided residencies and retreats are offered at reasonable artist rates, whether solo or groups of up to five, should write to samuel@yinhoofoundation.org for info and reservations.
